Socks & shoes

Yes, you guessed it. Socks & shoes are Kayne's new fascination. He loves wearing his sandals and new sports shoes so much that after an outing he gets pretty upset when he has to part with them. Socks included. This makes the simple task (well it used to be) of taking off socks quite complex as wails of strong protest would follow. So at times, to avoid a big fuss we give in and let him have his non-slip socks on in the house.

He has shown a strong liking for his Nike shoes. When he has them on, he would pace around and look down at them, admiringly. As Daddy says, the shoes added a "bounce" to his little strides. Strangely, he refuses to try on a cool pair of Crocs we've gotten for him. We wonder - could it be the flourescent yellow colour he dislike or the sculptural shape? Oh common Kayne, give the Crocs a chance please.

P/s: Btw, he is settling into pre-school quite nicely while Mommy's back at work. Let's pray for another good week. Amen!

Just do it!

Running that is. Last weekend, Kayne was down with the flu. Doc gave Kayne the green card to skip school for the entire week. By Monday evening, Kayne was up and about and running around. Life can't get any better :)

Pre-school - Day 3 (After hours)

Kayne survived 3 consecutive half days at pre-school and teachers commented that he just might settle in well by end next week. Fingers crossed! Meanwhile, Kayne is savouring a sweet Friday evening at home. (Notice how Mommy's keys never left his grip)

Hmm...what a fine day. No more school - TGIF!

Here's Kayne and proud Daddy on the 1st day of pre-school - 29 July 2009! Mommy and Kayne spent half a day at pre-school getting acquainted with the teachers and routine. It was a tearful, tiring but eventful day. Kayne - you did well :)

Our German friend

Hartmut arrived in Singapore on the night of 24 July 2009 and got acquainted with Kayne over the weekend. Hartmut is here for an exchange programme at the NUS for one semester and will be staying at the university hall.
