Singing for fun

The singing bug hits again - how delightful. Here's what Mommy caught on video, the songs of the month.

Feedback from Chen Lao Shi and Xue Lao Shi from school is that K's interest for Mandarin is growing by the day. He loves chatting about the Chinese character strokes he learnt at 764. Daddy and Mommy wish we could contribute more to fuel this current love for Mandarin, but we are limited :(

To start or not to start - Mandarin playgroup anyone?

Music Wonderland

Kayne finished 2 semesters of the Music Wonderland course with Yamaha and here are some excerpts of the semester end 'performance' held on 24 June 2012.

Hello Dolly

'Hello Dolly' is one of Kayne's favourite songs!

Etching these golden classics at justdottingaround for the record :)

Hello Dolly, by Louis Armstrong

And here's another, by Louis Armstrong and Barbra Streisand

The Wanderer

Kayne was introduced to "The Wanderer" by Yeh Yeh at our visit to KL in May 2012.

Click below for Dion the Wanderer, the real thing:-

While listening to the CD at Yeh Yeh's living room, Kayne started to choreograph some dance moves. We observed some slow, calculated moves (Tai Chi? Gong Fu?) and some persistent spinning at the Chorus:-

'Yeah I'm the wanderer
Yeah, the wanderer
I roam around, around, around"

Check out his dance (performed soon after getting out of bed in the morning while still in PJs ~ oops!):-

Chopsticks on pianica

Kayne's interest to play the pianica took on a new level recently. Check out the developments :)

Playing his favourite song from school - "I hear the band faraway", click on the link below:-

Perfecting the Chopsticks:-

Still practising admist laughter:-

And having an impromptu performance with Mommy:-

Not to bad, got to work on rhythm and consistency. Showmanship? The head bobbing came naturally! :)
