Here's what Kayne did on his 2nd,3rd and 4th swim class in October 2012. The weather in November and December were less than ideal with torrential rains in the afternoon clashing with swim classes.

Christmas 2012
Christmas dance with a 'Muchi' twist. Kayne told us he picked up this dance from preschool mate, Siddarth. How lovely - the things we learn from our friends.

Shock at EH 764
What a shocker! A car collided at a turning vehicle at Mountbatten Road and down came the Etonhouse (EH) 764's gate pier last week. Having arrived say 10mins before the incident, our car was stuck within the pre-school compound as the entrance / exit could not be cleared till the police took charge of the situation. Had to take Kayne home in a cab. Fortunately, no one was hurt. Both cars belonged to parents of kids at EH 764.
SFN 1070X had to stay the night at the school compound!

Swim Lesson 01
Recently, Daddy reconnected with uni mate, Dominic and family. Kayne got along with their lovely daughter, Sophie who we think is the most talented swimmer of their age. She's an inspiration :)
Kayne was invited to join in her swim class and we got to know Coach Uncle Jimmy. First swim lesson took place on the evening of 26 September 2012, Wednesday.

Soccer Mania
My baby, all grown up. |
Managed to catch the end part of K's soccer practice yesterday, 18 September 2012. We think the soccer lessons at school are good exposure for him, however, the scotching hot afternoon sun (3pm) may not be the best. Okay, now we know how he got so tanned :)
Here he is in the No. 11 jersey.
DO-RE-MI
Bought him the Lego Duplo Mat today and this is what he built - his intepretation of DO-RE-MI keys.
He built a tower with 8 'voids' and said "Mommy, this is DO-RE-MI-FA-SO-LA-TI-DO".
We added the 'extensions' to the voids to amplify the idea.
Wonderful Casio SA-47
I stumbled upon the Casio SA-47 at the Singapore Expo while shopping with good friend Yilin and Kayne. It proved to be the best buy ever! Kayne loves it and can't stop exploring the many pre-recorded tunes, beats and tones. He seemed to have figured out playing with the minus-one by himself, however, with just one finger (recorded in the morning before breakfast):-

Will definitely take along for next car ride to KL to keep him busy.

The Wanderer
Kayne was introduced to "The Wanderer" by Yeh Yeh at our visit to KL in May 2012.
Click below for Dion the Wanderer, the real thing:-

While listening to the CD at Yeh Yeh's living room, Kayne started to choreograph some dance moves. We observed some slow, calculated moves (Tai Chi? Gong Fu?) and some persistent spinning at the Chorus:-
Check out his dance (performed soon after getting out of bed in the morning while still in PJs ~ oops!):-

Doodlings Days
Here are some of K's doodlings done early this morning. He loves drawing happy faces and today he decided to reinterpret the "cat".
Here's how the conversation went:-
Mom: "Kayne, that looks like a spider!"
Kayne: "No, it is a cat!"
Mom: "Wow, I love its whiskers!"

CNY 2012
Chinese New Year Celebration this year at the big school, Etonhouse 764 was alot of fun. It was Kayne Jin's first dance performance in a group and he did pretty well remembering all the steps! Bravo Kayne!

He took the pineapple home as a souvenir from all the festivities and gave a solo live performance to Daddy since a very frustrated Daddy was stuck in the London snow at the time.
